www.tradethemarkets.com The S&P stayed fairly quiet today. At one point bears pushed it down to its 50% retracement level. Transports remained strong all day. Tomorrow is triple witching expiration. Typically, Friday expirations bring on unexpected events, and the unexpected at this point would be a pop higher. The Euro has been annihilated and is trying to muster a kickback. It is okay to trade it long, though I would be a little nervous in a swing position. Ultimately, I would like to short a move back to 1.32. Looking at a 1000 share bar chart of the Euro, Doc analyzes today’s system trades. The system, which trades a 2-lot on the Euro, was able to catch most of the trends and swings of the day. It managed, through 8 to 10 trades, to net a little over 00. Doc and I are looking at adding discretions to the signals in order to add another layer of trading sophistication. This would allow the system to scale into trades or to abort trades on account of economic reports, bad tick readings, etc. GOOG continues to hold up well. Having remained above its mean as the markets have gotten hammered is a positive sign. AMZN almost formed an island reversal, which is a bar that is below both the previous day and the following day. It is a semi-positive move for AMZN. Look for the stock to muster the courage to rally to 188, at which point I would want to short. It is of huge concern to me that Gold has traded so much lower. www.pillartrading.com The Euro has a gain slipped in yesterday’s trading session and looking ahead it seems as though the mid term bulls have all but cleared their positions. Stops have been triggered over the past few sessions causing the dramatic slide in the EUR Going ahead there are a number of key areas setting up to see whether or not the bears can continue to put downward pressure on the pair. The long term trend is still intact but the collapse of the mid term trend with such small participation means that all traders need to be on their toes.
